Alien eyes as contacts

Those of you who've seen me around on GOS or LJ may be familiar with my rants on the lack of alien eyes for TS3. It still baffles me how EA can let us make green-skinned sims but not give us any way to make proper aliens, and has been pretty annoying in trying to remake my favourites from TS2.

As time's gone on and more tools have been released, I finally plucked up the courage to do something about it. I found myself trawling the web for Photoshop tutorials (some of which helped a little) after finding aikea's handy guide on making replacement eyes, and much feeling my way round CTU, messing around in PS and general hair-pulling later, I've come up with these babies:

These are contacts that give the illusion of alien eyes. Not exactly stunning to look at, I'll be the first to admit - I'm no artist when it comes to Photoshop. However, they work, and that's the main thing.

These contacts are cloned from the feline costume make-up, and work for all genders and ages, as shown by our friend here:

Apologies for the CAS pictures and lack of - I don't have many aliens yet, and I have yet to actually play them.

These eyes are recolourable – observe:

Note the options for recolouring, however – although you can choose to colour four channels, only the one shown in purple will have any effect.

I'd like to take this chance to extend a big thank-you to everyone who's worked so hard - and quickly - to make this game customisable, and to all the folks posting these lovely tutorials to make our own stuff

Both models are remakes of TS2 sims made by me - one born in-game during my rainbow legacy, the other you may recognise The female is my self-sim
