sadieg79: (Ixchel)

Here you’ll find the sims from my latest rainbow/ISBI/[info]pixel_trade challenge. Not all of them – the founder was procured from the September Founder Collection and goes by the name of Lulu Darling – but generations two onwards can be downloaded from here. This time every sim will come in the CC you see them in, and it’ll be pretty obvious who the heir is since they’re the only one with a secondary aspiration, so they’re in birth order. All custom skins are geneticised. As always, so long as you don’t try to sell them or claim them as your own, do as you please with them.

Have fun!

My self-sim’s been through a lot of makeovers and general tweaking to get to a point where I’m happy with her, and now I’m finally feeling brave enough to share her with you lovely guys Happy

If you’ve been following my ill-fated rainbow legacy, you’ll know that I played the pets part of the traditional legacy set-up and bred cats. What you’ll find here are the more unusual cats that were born in green and turquoise generation; the result of breeding a plain looking animal with strange_tomato’s Starry Bob in lime gen.

Please note that these files are in Sims2Pack format – the files were so tiny I saw no point in zipping/rarring them.

When I found the body hair overlay by Inkyfish, it was love at first sight. Choice of different hairs, automatically matching the genetic hair of the sim, and can be applied to any skintone. There was just one problem - once you quit the lot or the game, you had to reapply the overlay every time you wanted to return to that sim. Annoying in gameplay, frustrating as hell for storytellers with a lot of male characters and extras Angry

Then Marhis came along with her fixed version, only she used a different hair. Which is fine - variety is great - but it didn't solve my problem with the original object. So, after trying unsuccessfully to figure out what was changed where to make it work properly, I decided to ask Marhis for a hand. She very nicely gave me all the info I could ever need, and now with her help I bring you:

Fixed body hair overlays, anyone? )
sadieg79: (Sims 3 Avi)

Those of you who've seen me around on GOS or LJ may be familiar with my rants on the lack of alien eyes for TS3. It still baffles me how EA can let us make green-skinned sims but not give us any way to make proper aliens, and has been pretty annoying in trying to remake my favourites from TS2.

As time's gone on and more tools have been released, I finally plucked up the courage to do something about it. I found myself trawling the web for Photoshop tutorials (some of which helped a little) after finding aikea's handy guide on making replacement eyes, and much feeling my way round CTU, messing around in PS and general hair-pulling later, I've come up with these babies:

We can haz alien eyes for Sims 3! )

If you read my Rainbow Legacy, and/or would love to have a Garland or three for your own game, here’s the place to grab them Happy

Be warned – this post is incredibly picture-heavy.

Update: Purple Garlands now available. Also added Shamrock’s kids who you’ll find under blue gen, since that’s their colour.

Important note: Some of these new downloads fall foul of a hacked .package file as detailed below – this originally written by an LJer going by the name of Van Squirgle:
